Chairperson: Dr. Robert Levine
The Health Care strategy group supports single payer healthcare as a way to cover all Americans at the lowest cost. Our strategy group has developed basic principles that we believe need to be a part of necessary national health care reform, as this issue cuts across all segments of society and worsens daily. Continued inaction deprives our citizens of a viable health care system and undermines the health and welfare of our society.
Our strategy group is available to make presentations to others seeking to become more informed about this issue and to join with allies in reaching the goal of universal health care for all.
We consider this a moral issue as well as an economic necessity for the prosperity of our people.
The Health Care Strategy Group meets before each of the AFSI monthly meetings from 9:00am to 10:00am.

- Choosing Wisely® aims to promote conversations between physicians and patients by helping patients choose care that is:
- Supported by evidence
- Not duplicative of other tests or procedures already received
- Free from harm
- Truly necessary
